A new building and road construction projects get started in May.
Road work and construction on campus have been minimized for commencement weekend, to allow parents, families and friends of graduates ease in commuting to and through campus. East Drive will temporarily open from Friday, May 12-Sunday, May 14, before closing for one more month of work on Monday, May 15. Repaving is slated to be completed by mid-June. New projects, road work kick off summer After May 15, work on roads and new construction projects on campus begins. This work includes impacts to Lake Street, East Drive, Pitkin Street, and University Avenue through June. The construction fence for the Warner Natural Resources Building addition also will go up on May 15, closing the far west section of University Avenue from Amy Van Dyken Way to the LSC Plaza through Fall 2018. East Drive will be closed Monday, April 3- Saturday, May 13 for repaving.
Amy Van Dyken Way will be closed from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 26.
Construction on the underpass at Shields and Elizabeth Streets will close Shields Street at the intersection starting Feb. 25
Pitkin Road will be closed in two phases for repaving, with the primary work being completed during Spring Break.

Prospect Road will be closed between College and Remington for a month, starting Feb. 13.
Lake Street will be closed at the stadium site starting Monday, Jan. 23 through Friday, Feb. 17.
