School is Cool backpacks available to CSU employees through CARE Program

School Is Cool LogoSchool is Cool — Colorado State University’s signature outreach effort to provide backpacks filled with school supplies to Poudre School District students — has a limited number of backpacks available to employees through the CARE Program.

The backpacks will be distributed on Thursday, Aug. 10, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Talent Development Suite (room 321) of the General Services Building (1251 S. Mason). Families are limited to one backpack on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The CARE program, through CSU Human Resources, provides employees with information about and referrals to agencies, programs and organizations in Northern Colorado that provide low-cost or no-cost services. This includes physical and mental health care as well as financial, food, clothing and other household necessities. More information can be found at hr.colostate.edu/care-program.

Give today

School is Cool, which is happening this week, is still short of its fundraising goal. A donation of only $30 pays for a backpack filled with school supplies for a Poudre School District student. Donate here at advancing.colostate.edu/SIC.
