Open house for Faculty Success program set for Sept. 21 in LSC

An open house showcasing Colorado State University’s Faculty Success program will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 21, and all CSU faculty are invited.

The grant-supported initiative was originally aimed at enhancing retention and gender equity among faculty in STEM disciplines. The program, which had previously been called ADVANCE @ CSU, was launched in 2021 thanks to a National Science Foundation ADVANCE grant of nearly $1 million awarded to an interdisciplinary team led by principal investigator Ruth Hufbauer, a professor of agricultural biology.

The Faculty Success program was expanded in 2022 beyond the disciplines of science, technology, engineering and math, and includes all equity efforts – not just around gender. Additional funds for the expansion were provided by Interim Provost Janice Nerger. Faculty Success is based in the Office of the Provost and involves initiatives in the areas of recruitment, recognition and fulfillment, culture and climate, and leadership.
