In May, the Office of Vice President for Research’s human resources team was celebrated by CSU’s Employee Appreciation Board for supporting OVPR employees with diligence and care.

The small team handles a variety of HR tasks including, but not limited to, talent acquisition, onboarding, leave administration, employee relations and professional development. The team remains flexible and dynamic with their ever-changing environment and manages a high workload in an effortless manner.

The OVPR HR team was nominated because of its unwavering dedication, hard work and customer service.

“The OVPR HR team is honestly really there for you,” according to the nomination. “They work hard, stay positive and ensure you have the tools and information you need as an employee. Their #1 priority is the employee, even if it means an after-hours or weekend call to get it done. Their small unit serves many with ease, a smile and new ideas to create a better workplace in OVPR. They are experts, and I am very impressed with the team. I know I am not alone in my experiences, and I feel so lucky they are on my team.”

The team’s seamless coordination and professionalism has not gone unnoticed, and each member plays an integral role in supporting the operations of the OVPR. The Office of the Vice President for Research is committed to supporting foundational research infrastructure and facilities necessary to enable excellence, innovation and outstanding achievement in research, scholarship and creative artistry.

In appreciation of a job well done, the OVPR HR team received EAB swag and a Panera lunch celebration.
