‘Tour Tuesdays’ series resumes Oct. 10 for four weeks

CSU Powerhouse

Fall Tour Tuesday kicks off Oct. 10 with a stellar four-week lineup.

Originally launched in June 2022, the tour series is back with 13 behind-the-scenes tour locations that give attendees a backstage look at spaces that aren’t often scene by the public.

Discover how hydroponic lettuce is grown for the dining centers, or head over to the annual Flower Trial Gardens to see common favorites and an array of exotic plants and flowers.

Bring your appetite to the nutrition and fermentation programs, explore CSU’s sustainability, or learn about how CSU fights food insecurity at the Rams Against Hunger Food Pantry and bring items to donate to help our CSU community.

Other offerings

Go behind the scenes in the Biology Building to view a 13,000-specimen collection of mammals and birds, or head backstage at the University Center for the Arts to learn about music, theatre, and dance venues.

Explore the biggest walk-in closet in the Rockies, learn about research and development on energy and climate solution topics at the Powerhouse Energy Campus, or see how CSU works to fulfill the needs of older adults in higher education at the Healthy Aging Center.

Plus, tour guests will have the opportunity to learn about more than 100 years of the CSU weather station, head into the vault where the University’s art collection is stored or learn how the future is being designed and built within several prototype labs. There are tours for every interest and new topics for anyone to explore.

All tours are free, and registration for each tour is required on a first come, first serve basis, because tour group sizes are limited.
