Do you know the university’s tobacco use policy?
A task force has been charged with reviewing the university’s current tobacco policy and consider if any revisions may be needed. The charge from Vice Presidents Amy Parsons and Blanche Hughes asks task force members to provide recommendations about whether or not to change or modify the current tobacco policy (https://csu.2compli.com/documents/view/725), based on tobacco impacts on students, employees, and visitors, as well as campus neighborhoods and the city. The task force includes representatives from various areas of campus who have different perspectives. The task force is considering options ranging from keeping the policy as it is, which prohibits smoking inside all CSU buildings, within 25 feet of building entrances, and in university vehicles, to creating a smoke-free or tobacco-free campus. Feedback and suggestions should be provided through task force members representing various areas of the university by December 10:
