Lake Street will be closed at 6 a.m. Friday, June 2, through 5 p.m. Sunday, June 4, for the sale. The street will be closed in the area immediately north of the Surplus Properties Building.

CSU Surplus Property and Housing & Dining Services are hosting the 6th Annual Tent Sale, Saturday and Sunday, June 3 and 4. It will take place at the Surplus Property Store, 201 W. Lake St. Saturday hours are 8 a.m.-4 p.m., and Sunday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

Admission is free, and open to the public. All items for sale will be marked with a price tag.

Just some of the items, collected from the annual Leave It Behind program that allows students to recycle unwanted items when they move out of the residence halls, include furniture, mini-fridges, fans, clothes, electronics, decorations, text books, household goods, and so much more!

CSU collects approximately 36,000 pounds of stuff each year, and 100 percent of all net proceeds earned from the marked “Leave It Behind” items sold will go to the Eco Leaders Student Group to help fund sustainability and recycling projects.
