Nominate someone for the 2018 Celebrate! CSU awards

The Office of Service-Learning is now accepting nominations to recognize exceptional community partners, students, and instructors committed to service-learning and community-based research at the 2018 Celebrate! CSU event on April 11.

Please submit nominations to Margit.Hentschel@colostate.edu by Wednesday, Feb. 28.

Everyone is welcome to nominate someone (on campus and community-wide partners), and/or nominate yourself for one or more of these categories:

The Exceptional Achievement in Service-Learning Community Partner Award
The Exceptional Achievement in Service-Learning Student Award
The Instructional Innovation in Service-Learning Award

Award recipients will be recognized with a $200 cash award and framed certificate at the Celebrate! CSU Awards on April 11, 3-5 p.m. in the Lory Student Center Grand Ballroom.

Award descriptions

Exceptional Achievement in Service-Learning Community Partner Award: Presented to a CSU community partner for their commitment to building university-community partnerships that meet community-articulated needs and challenges while supporting the holistic education of the next generation of professionals, leaders, and citizens.

Exceptional Achievement in Service-Learning Student Award: presented to a student or student group for their remarkable social or environmental contributions achieved through an academic service-learning course, a supervised internship or professional project, or community-engaged research.

Instructional Innovation in Service-Learning Award: presented to an instructor who clearly enriches course content and addresses community concerns through skillful application of service-learning pedagogy to an academic course.
