New faculty orientation sessions set for Sept. 19 and Oct. 5

Administration Building

With the new academic year in full swing, The Institute for Learning and Teaching (TILT)  is facilitating New Faculty Orientation sessions to engage with new faculty and provide them with the resources they need to get their CSU career started successfully.

Sponsored by the provost’s office, New Faculty Orientation will operate differently than it has in years past. This year’s multi-day series of events will focus on topics like:

The goal of the first session – being held from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19, in the Lory Student Center, room 302 – will be to introduce new CSU faculty to campus, as well as the offices and resources available to them. Registration for the Sept. 19 event can be found here.

The second session of the fall will build upon the first session, expanding on topics like teaching effectiveness, research and promotion and tenure. That session will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 5, in the Lory Student Center, Room 376-378, and faculty can register for session two here.
