On Giving Tuesday, Nov. 28, Rams across campus and around the world came together to help support the one in three students experiencing food insecurity by giving to Rams Against Hunger. Because of their generosity, more than 10,300 meal swipes were donated.

“With this incredible support, more students can thrive and focus on making the most of their experience at CSU instead of simply surviving and trying to make ends meet,” said Michael Buttram, CSU’s basic needs program manager. “To each and every donor, thank you for your commitment to the well-being of our Ram community. Your support helps to ensure that all students can take full advantage of the opportunities offered to them at CSU.”

Rams Against Hunger offers a menu of services that support students experiencing food insecurity. Services include a food pantry, a meal swipe program, pocket pantries and in-person assistance with navigating federal aid eligibility. By reducing the stigma around food insecurity and meeting student needs in a way that affirms dignity, CSU hopes to live out the creed that Rams really do take care of Rams. Giving Tuesday helped prove that.
