President Amy Parsons has appointed Kevin MacLennan as CSU’s interim vice president for enrollment and access.

For the past four months, MacLennan has served CSU as a consultant, supporting the Division of Enrollment and Access with strategic analysis and planning. As interim VP, Kevin will oversee the work of Admissions, Financial Aid and the Office of the Registrar. He will serve as a member of the University’s Executive Leadership Team and a member of the Cabinet.

“I’m honored and thrilled to have the opportunity to work side-by-side with all the amazing professionals and students at CSU,” MacLennan said. “I’m excited for the Division of Enrollment and Access to enhance our collaboration and strengthen connections with all our outstanding campus partners as we build a successful campuswide strategic enrollment plan.”

MacLennan brings more than 30 years of higher education experience and a deep knowledge of Colorado. He previously served as associate vice chancellor of enrollment management for the University of Colorado Boulder, where he also served as assistant vice chancellor of enrollment management and director of admissions.

He holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Colorado Denver and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Western Colorado University.

“I’m grateful that Kevin has agreed to serve in this interim role as I continue to assemble the University leadership team, and I will keep you informed when we develop search plans for permanent leadership in this area,” Parsons said. “Kevin will be a terrific asset to the division and the university, and I’m certain that we will benefit from his leadership and deep expertise in enrollment planning, recruitment and retention.”
