For the third consecutive year, Colorado State University was recognized by the U.S. Department of State as being one of the institutions with the highest number of faculty and administrators selected for the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program.

Eight CSU scholars were selected for Fulbright awards for the academic year 2023-24, according to a Feb. 13 announcement by the State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. The rankings, available on The Chronicle of Higher Education, have CSU tied for fifth among doctoral institutions.

The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government’s flagship international academic exchange program. Since 1946, the Fulbright Program has provided over 400,000 talented and accomplished students, scholars, teachers, artists and professionals of all backgrounds with the opportunity to study, teach and conduct research abroad.

“CSU is among the best public institutions of higher education in this nation, and the recognition as a top producer of Fulbright Scholars for the third year in a row tells such an important story about our research and academic excellence, and the quality of our faculty,” said Provost and Executive Vice President Marion Underwood. “These remarkable scholars build international partnerships that elevate CSU’s global reach, benefit our students here at home, and improve the quality of life for our fellow citizens around the world.
