The Colorado State University Employee Appreciation Board is highlighting the small but mighty Facilities Management Moving Services Team this month for excelling at their jobs and helping make a difference for CSU departments and employees.

The Computer Science Building recently underwent a renovation. Throughout the project, there was a need to un-install and re-install white boards, move various pieces of furniture to multiple floors, and deliver heavy equipment to newly created lab spaces. The Moving Services team “graciously accommodated all our requests with understanding and creativity,” wrote Kim Chacon in the Department of Computer Science, who nominated the team for recognition. The team’s understanding and creativity were especially appreciated because the building’s elevator had been out of service for a couple of months.

“Because of the elevator challenge, Bill’s crew could have simply denied (and rightfully so) our requests until the elevator was again functioning, but they always found a way to move mountains for us,” Chacon said. “We truly, truly appreciate them and their efforts!”

The CSU Employee Appreciation Board is grateful to Facilities Management’s Moving Services for all they do across campus. The team was treated to breakfast and a CSU swag bag.
