The CSU Employee Appreciation Board is highlighting the members of the International Student and Scholar Services team for excelling at their job and making a difference in the lives of students.

The ISSS team provides services and resources to facilitate the internationalization of Colorado State University, Fort Collins and the greater Colorado and global communities. They strive to assist international students and scholars with cultural adjustment, academic integration, professional growth and personal support. As part of that initiative, they oversee new international student and scholar orientation and arrival, regulatory compliance, immigration services, sponsor services, events and programming, and act as a liaison to the U.S. government.

The College of Business’s Human Resources department nominated ISSS for always being willing to go the extra mile. This includes taking the time to guide someone through legal requirements, steps for submitting visa paperwork and always offering more support if needed. According to the COB Human Resources’ department’s nomination, “They are setting aside time (per our request) for our unit to go over roles and responsibilities between their office and ours to ensure we are all on the same page and nothing slips through the cracks, despite this being a very busy time for them.”

It went on to say, “Their exemplary, unwavering dedication to our foreign national population and supporting us within our college and those around the university is inspiring. We are so grateful for their support and all they do!”

The CSU Employee Appreciation Board is grateful to the International Student and Scholar Services team for their unwavering support and dedication to the foreign national population. The team was celebrated with a pizza lunch.
