Donate $25 to School is Cool and make a difference

School is Cool 2019Twenty-five bucks doesn’t buy much these days.

Lunch for you and a friend, perhaps. Half a tank of gas, maybe. A couple of seats in the Rockpile at Coors Field.

While all of those things are nice, your $25 can be put to better use. Thanks to CSU’s one-of-a-kind School is Cool program, $25 can buy a backpack filled with school supplies – and positively impact a young student for a lifetime.

School is Cool has been providing new backpacks filled with grade-specific school supplies to Poudre School District students in need since 1992. To date, the program – started by CSU employees and staffed by dozens of university and community volunteers – has provided more than 45,000 backpacks and helped thousands of students start the school year on equal footing with their peers.

A great CSU tradition

You can become part of one of CSU’s greatest community outreach traditions by donating to School is Cool. A $25 donation fills one backpack, but any amount helps. Each year, CSU and its community partners provide more than 2,500 backpacks to elementary, middle school and high school students in PSD.

If you can’t donate, consider volunteering to help during the three-day process when backpacks are stuffed and delivered to schools.
