CSU Ventures seeks applicants for Creative Works Commercialization Award

CSU Ventures logoCSU Ventures is accepting applications until Jan. 30 for its Creative Works Commercialization Award, available to Colorado State University innovators who have created intellectual property that can be protected through a copyright, trademark or design patent.

CSU faculty, researchers and graduate students who generate creative works are invited to apply. Graduate students should first seek approval from a principal investigator. Priority considerations will be given to applicants from the following colleges: Liberal Arts, Business, Health and Human Sciences, and Warner College of Natural Resources.

Funded projects are expected to generate intellectual property that can be protected and that have potential commercial value.

The expected award size is between $5,000 and $15,000 per project; CSU Ventures intends to fund a total of three to five awards.

Previously funded creative work projects include clothing designs, programmatic support, manuals, videos, guides, visual arts and software applications.

To apply, download and complete the Letter of Intent and submit it to Rodman Tompkins by Monday, Jan. 30, at 4 p.m.

CSU Ventures will invite select applicants to submit a full proposal in early February. See more details on the application process on CSU Venture’s site.

For questions about the program, email Tompkins or call him at (970) 491-8316.
