Military vehicles, a helicopter flyover, one of world’s largest American flags and a Rams victory were among the highlights of the Military Appreciation Game on Veterans Day at Colorado State University.
Fans of all ages had the opportunity to explore a variety of military vehicles and equipment from Fort Carson. These included a joint light tactical vehicle, an M777 howitzer and a medium tactical vehicle. During the Ram Walk — with the CSU Marching Band, cheer teams, football players, coaches as well as ROTC cadets — UH-60 Black Hawk and AH-64 Apache helicopters flew over Hughes Way and landed on the Lory Student Center’s west lawn for public display.
The day ended with a 22-19 Rams victory over the San Diego State Aztecs.
