Ryan Schneider, a junior in the Department of Construction Management, was awarded the $5,000 William A. Bianco, Jr. Memorial Scholarship at the Mechanical Contractors Association of America convention in early March. The national scholarship was established by the Mechanical Contracting Education & Research Foundation(MCERF) and Kinetics to honor the memory of William A. Bianco, Jr.’s impact on the mechanical contracting industry.

Schneider attributed his involvement with the MCAA competition team and his tenure on the CM Student Board of Directors as key reasons he was awarded the scholarship. “This scholarship is a great recognition of the work and commitment I have shown toward my education and the CM program,” said Schneider. “I want to thank MCERF and Kinetic for their generosity. The funds will be a big help and are a testament to how great the people and organizations in the industry are.”

The Department of Construction Management is part of CSU’s College of Health and Human Sciences.
