The EPPYs, in its 22nd year, is an international contest that honors the best digital-media websites. The contest has 30 categories, with three dedicated to recognizing excellence in college and university journalism.

Other finalists in the “Best College/University Newspaper Website” include Central Michigan University, the City University of New York, Columbia University, Temple University, Baylor University, Syracuse University and Northwestern University. Winners will be announced at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25, at editorandpublisher.com.

It marks the third national honor the Collegian.com website has received since May. It was a national finalist for “Best Affiliated Website” in the Society of Professional Journalist’s Mark of Excellence competition. In addition, it was nominated for an Online Pacemaker Award by the Associated Collegiate Press. Winners of that competition will be announced Oct. 28 in Dallas.
