Classified Personnel Council announces annual awards at April 11 banquet

The Classified Personnel Council hosted its awards banquet on April 11 at the Lory Student Center and presented its Outstanding Achievement Awards and Positive Action Awards for distinguished state classified personnel.

The event, which was attended by about 100 people, featured dinner, a live jazz combo and an ice sculpture of the CPC logo commemorating its 50th anniversary.

President Amy Parsons, Provost and Executive Vice President Marion Underwood, Vice President for University Operations Brendan Hanlon, Vice President for Human Resources Eric Ray, Associate Vice President for Student Affairs Jody Donovan and Executive Director of Clinical Services Chad Johannes of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital were among the prominent guests.

ice sculptureCPC members credited council members Holly Ritzman of Central Receiving with taking the lead in organizing much of the logistics and committees, Teresa Runge of the Student Disability Center for helping with communications, and Nancy Cowley for organizing final preparations for the guests.

Positive Action Award winners

The Positive Action Award recognizes individuals, groups, units or departments that have made a positive contribution to state classified employees at CSU by fostering a supportive work environment, improved campus climate and/or positive work experiences for state classified employees.
