Be ready to save a life: Get certified in CPR/AED and first aid

Did you know that over 356,000 people suffer from sudden cardiac arrest very year? The longer it takes for help to arrive, the lower the chances of survival.

In fact, for every minute that passes following a SCA event, the victim’s chance of survival decreases by approximately 10%. This means that a survival rate of only 5%-10% is expected if immediate action isn’t taken to save a life.

Colorado State University’s Office of Risk Management and Insurance offers a CPR/AED/First Aid course that helps prepare members of the campus community to respond appropriately in emergency situations. For just $50, you will receive an American Red Cross certification for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, valid for two years.

Classes are now open for enrollment through June 2024.
