ASCSU hosts ‘Wall of Strength’ event on LSC Plaza April 5-6

The Associated Students of Colorado State University is hosting a “Wall of Strength” project on the Lory Student Center Plaza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, and Friday, April 6, as part of the “Rams Fail Forward” campaign.

Wall of Strength posterThat campaign was launched this semester by the CSU Health Network to help members of the community who are experiencing a setback or failure, or trying to recover from one.

In the “Wall of Strength” project, students, staff and faculty are invited to contribute a Post-It Note story of a strength or learning experience that was gained from a setback or failure. The posted stories will be combined into a Wall of Strength mural to be displayed on campus.

There will be hot chocolate, coffee and giveaways available for all participants, and in case of inclement weather, the event will be held in the LSC Flea Market.

Campaign goals

Goals of the Rams Fail Forward campaign include breaking the stigma associated with failure and encouraging a culture of openness and honesty about life’s inevitable struggles. As part of changing the narrative around failure, a website was created to offer resources, inspirational stickers and a pledge. To learn more, take the pledge or order stickers, visit https://health.colostate.edu/ramsfailforward/.
