The eighth annual Veterans Day 5K will be held in honor of Lt. Col. Daniel E. Holland, an alumnus of the university who was killed in action, and Sgt. Richard J. Kutch, an alum whose wife will graduate from Colorado State University this semester.

In the 5K, which will be held at CSU on Saturday, Nov. 4, participants will run around campus, starting and finishing at the Oval. CSU students, veterans and the Fort Collins community are welcome to attend.

There is a $30 fee that will cover participants’ registration for the 5K, a commemorative t-shirt and a free ticket to the CSU football game against Boise State on Nov. 11 – Veterans Day. The race, while it honors fallen veterans, is also a nonprofit fundraiser for the CSU Veterans Scholarship fund, which is awarded to veterans who attend CSU.
