Military Times once again ranks CSU as one of the nation's top five schools for veterans.
The Adult Learner and Veteran Service office is hosting a series of events this week to commemorate veterans who attend Colorado State University.
The eighth annual Veterans Day 5K will be held in honor of Lt. Col. Daniel E. Holland, an alumnus of the university who was killed in action, and Sgt. Richard J. Kutch, an alum whose wife will graduate from Colorado State University this semester.
Military Appreciation Day will be celebrated Saturday during the inaugural game at the new stadium.
CSU's student veterans are sponsoring a 5K race April 1 to raise awareness about PTSD, depression and suicide among veterans.
The Adult Learner and Veteran Services office has introduced a new service program in which volunteers hand out 1,000 free bottles of water at football games at Hughes Stadium during tailgating.
With new Director Marc Barker now at the helm of Adult Learner & Veteran Services, the office will be implementing several new changes in order to reach as many students — both on campus and off — as possible.
