University, City host on-campus game day, stadium operations open house

Colorado State University and the City of Fort Collins are hosting an on-campus open house to provide information about game-day operations and the new stadium.

The on-campus open house is slated from 11:30 a.m. to 1: 30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 27, in the Lory Student Center, Grey Rock Room. Come learn what to expect on game day for vehicle, bike and pedestrian access, transit services, tailgating, parking on campus – for the game or for other needs — and the fan experience inside the new stadium. In addition, information about road construction in the city surrounding campus will be available.

“For more than a year members of the Colorado State University and City of Fort Collins staffs have worked together in the operational planning for the new stadium,” said Gary Ozzello, director of Community Outreach and Engagement and CSU’s game day liaison. “During the course of open houses and listening sessions, a great deal of information and feedback has been gathered that has been implemented in the plan. We are excited to provide this operational framework to the University and Fort Collins communities as we continue to look toward the opening of the new stadium.”

A Fort Collins community open house is slated for Wednesday, Feb. 1, 6-8 p.m., in the Drake Center West Banquet Room, 802 W. Drake Road.

The informal structure of the open houses allow participants to speak with those on the ground who have developed the framework for game-day operations.
