Celebrated northern Colorado artist and Lagoon Concert Series veteran The Wendy Woo Band will perform on Wednesday, July 31, at Colorado State University.
The live music begins at 6 p.m. near the Lagoon with a Little Kids Rock performance by Macy Warner.
Wendy Woo lights up the stage with her energetic personality, musical skills and spirited songwriting. It’s no surprise that she’s earned many honors, including the Westword Music Awards “Singer/Songwriter of the Year” five times. She has also sung alongside top artists such as Brad Paisley, Carly Simon, James Taylor, Counting Crows and more.
Woo, who has penned and recorded more than 200 original songs and plays over 150 dates a year, has gained a reputation as one of the most versatile performers on the circuit.
The Lagoon Summer Concert Series is now being enjoyed by radio listeners across northern Colorado and around the world. KRFC 88.9 FM Radio Fort Collins is broadcasting each of the seven concerts the following week as part of its “Around Town” series, which airs Wednesdays at 7 p.m. The partnership is a reflection of the mission the two organizations share – enhancing community relationships and pride through the love of arts and entertainment.
“The Lagoon Summer Concert Series is a great example of the spirit and culture in our area,” said KRFC 88.9 FM Radio Fort Collins Executive Director Jen Parker. “We are proud to support this popular summer tradition and share it with a much bigger audience.”
