Colorado State announces 2013-14 student-athlete award recipients
Colorado State Athletics announced Friday the recipients of the department’s annual awards for the 2013-14 season, recognizing six student-athletes for their outstanding contributions in competition and in the classroom. The five awards are the Nye Trophy (outstanding male athlete), Virginia K. Frank Award (outstanding female athlete), Merrill-Gheen Award (male scholar-athlete), Mencimer Memorial Award (female scholar-athlete), and Thurman “Fum” McGraw Award. Read more.
FB: Non-conference schedule for 2015 finalized
With just 49 days remaining before the Colorado State football team begins its 2014 season, the final pieces of its 2015 non-conference schedule are now in place. The Rams will play their first three games of the 2015 season in the state of Colorado, with two home games at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium followed by the annual Rocky Mountain Showdown against the University of Colorado at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver. FB: Grayson completes day one at Manning Passing Academy
Thursday marked the first day of the 19th annual Manning Passing Academy, a four-day camp hosting more than 1,000 high school football players that is directed by Archie, Peyton, Eli and Cooper Manning. Alongside the Manning family is over 100 counselors, including Colorado State quarterback Garrett Grayson. Read more.
MBB: Eustachy announces addition of Richardson III
Colorado State men's basketball head coach Larry Eustachy announced Thursday that former Oregon and Lee College guard Fred Richardson III signed a financial aid agreement and will join the Rams' program for the 2014-15 season with two years of collegiate eligibility remaining. Read more.
VB: CSU introduces Weekend Package
New this season, the Colorado State volleyball team is offering a weekend ticket plan, allowing fans to attend all eight Saturday and Sunday matches. The Weekend Package includes a general admission ticket for some of the season's top contests, highlighted by national runner-up Wisconsin on Sept. 6.Read more.

Colorado State senior kicker Jared Roberts is one of 30 kickers named to the Lou Groza Award preseason watch list, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission announced on Wednesday. Read more.
Rams earn 74 MW Scholar-Athlete nods for 2013-14
Sixth-three Colorado State student-athletes earned a record total of 74 Scholar-Athlete awards from the Mountain West for their work in the classroom during the 2013-14 academic year. The conference made the announcement Tuesday afternoon. The 63 individuals honored is one short of the program record set last year. The 74 overall selections surpasses CSU’s former all-time mark of 72. In all, 651 student-athletes were honored by the MW, a league most. Read more.

Colorado State senior quarterback Garrett Grayson has been named to College Football Performance Awards 2014 Quarterback Trophy watch list. This award is given to the nation’s top quarterback based on scientific rankings that measures how the athlete increased the overall effectiveness of his team.Read more.
T&F: Cawley takes head coaching position at Idaho
On Monday Head Coach Brian Bedard announced that long-time assistant coach Tim Cawley will be leaving Colorado State to take over the head coaching position at the University of Idaho. Fellow assistant, Cathleen Cawley, will join him up in Moscow. Read more.
VB: Reynolds, Snider depart for Europe with Mountain West all-star team
Rising seniors Marlee Reynolds and Kelsey Snider departed for Bologna, Italy, on Tuesday, the beginning of their two-week trip to Europe with the Mountain West Global Challenge All-Star Volleyball Team. Read more.
Mountain West announces academic all-conference honorees
A record number of 101 Colorado State student-athletes earned academic all-conference accolades for their work in the classroom during the spring season. The conference announced the spring 2014 Academic All-Mountain West team on Monday. Read more.
