Susan MacQuiddy named Board Member of the Year

MacQuiddy, Sue 1Susan MacQuiddy, director of counseling services for the CSU Health Network, has been recognized by the statewide Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council as Board Member of the Year for her work with SummitStone Health Partners.

MacQuiddy has been a member of the SummitStone board since 2010, serving as the secretary, vice chair, and just completing her two-year term as chair in August.

“As a psychologist, I have been so impressed by the high quality programs and dedicated staff at SummitStone,” MacQuiddy said.  “It’s been my privilege to serve as a member of the board of directors.”

SummitStone, Larimer County’s private non-profit mental health center, provides many mental health and substance use services to over 7,000 people throughout the county every year. SummitStone recently opened the Community Crisis Clinic in Fort Collins to provide 24-hour service to anyone needing emergency mental health assistance.

CBHC is the statewide membership organization for Colorado’s network of community behavioral health providers. Every year each of the 17 community centers selects a board member as their organization’s Board Member of the Year. From this pool of nominees, an independent, blind panel of judges selects the Board Member of the Year for the entire state based on the member’s accomplishments.

MacQuiddy received the award at the organization’s annual fall conference in October.
