Colorado State University’s Rams on Ice — a winter extravaganza that features an outdoor ice skating rink at the Lory Student Center Plaza — is back on Jan. 31 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The annual winter event for students features free skate rentals, crafts and refreshments that include a s’mores station and much more.
In addition, there will be free winter Residence Hall Association swag while supplies last, which includes a winter sweatshirt, long socks, a beanie and more. Students are limited to selecting one free item.
Rams on Ice is organized by the Residence Hall Association in collaboration with Rams Against Hunger and the National Residence Hall Honorary.
This year’s event features the opportunity to donate to the Rams Against Hunger campus pantry.
“We are excited to partner with a campus department to support community needs and encourage support of each other in our community,” said Amanda Dermer, coordinator for student engagement. “Items that may be accepted for donation to the pantry include unopened, non-expired shelf-stable food items and hygiene items.”
Organizers explained that all activities are designed to allow students to swing by and participate without the need to dedicate an extended period of time to the event.
