September is National Campus Safety Awareness Month

Ensuring the health and wellness of campus includes the opportunity to raise awareness about safety efforts, prevention and services available to students, faculty and staff at Colorado State University.

Throughout the month, programs and events will share safety resources available at the university community, ranging from driving tips that reduce bike vs. car accidents to run, hide, fight training sessions.

LSC Plaza educational fair

National Campus Safety Awareness Month at CSU began with an educational fair on the Lory Student Center Plaza on Sept. 6, featuring representatives from across campus and the community talking about safety and its many different forms and answering questions, sharing information and hosting games and giveaways.

Emergency Responder Expo

Emergency responder representatives from CSU, Fort Collins and Larimer County organizations will be sharing information and answering questions from 4-7 p.m. on Sept. 20 on the lawn area north of Hartshorn Building.

At the expo, there will be activities and demos such as fire extinguisher training, emergency vehicle tours, hands-on stop the bleed training, intoxicated goggles and photo opportunities with Smokey Bear. Refreshments can be purchased from Herbal Mocktails.
