Colorado State University is taking over Coors Field at 6:10 p.m. Saturday, August 15, as the Rockies play the division rival San Diego Padres.
Now in its ninth year, the annual Rams at the Rockies outing has become a true summer tradition for CSU alumni, families, faculty and staff, and fans throughout Colorado.
Ticket prices are $20 for upper reserved and infield seats ($8 discount) and $27 for outfield box seats ($13 discount). A portion of the proceeds go to the CSU Alumni Association.
Each CSU ticket package comes with a limited-edition CSU Rams-themed Colorado Rockies baseball cap so be sure to get your package early before they run out! The commemorative cap is only available with the purchase of a “Colorado State University” ticket package, and must be picked up behind the Rooftop Tavern before the fourth inning.
Tickets may be purchased online using the promo code RAMS.
In addition to the game and the in-stadium festivities, fans who arrive early to the ballpark can take part in a free tour of Major League Baseball’s first on-site, sustainable garden, which produces food for use in the stadium. Located near Gate A, the 600-square-foot garden features raised beds built from beetle-kill pine planted with assorted vegetables and herbs, including a new crop of organic Purple Viking potatoes that will be used to make purple potato chips.
Now in its third growing season, “The GaRden” is a partnership between CSU’s Institute for the Build Environment, the Rockies and Aramark, the Rockies’ exclusive food and beverage partner. Learn more.
The green and gold takeover will continue on-field when alumna Shannon Patilla (’15), the reigning Miss Denver and current Miss Colorado contestant, sings the National Anthem, and CSU head football coach Mike Bobo throws out the ceremonial first pitch.
Bobo’s Rams will be in their second week of preseason camp, in preparation for the Sept. 5 season opener, and five weeks before his team’s return to Denver for the annual Rocky Mountain Showdown against rival Colorado.
Stop by the Blue Moon Brewing Co. at The SandLot, led by head brewer John Legnard (’91), if you’re thirsty for a cold beer, and don’t forget to pick up a free Colorado State-Root Sports koozie from the CSU kiosk. Be sure not to miss this special event with the Colorado Rockies and the Colorado State Rams!
