Meredith was born October 18, 1941, in Denver, to Lydia and Alex Batt, and grew up in Lakewood. She graduated from Lakewood High School in 1959. She was employed as a secretary over the following years in the Lakewood, Loveland and Fort Collins area. She enjoyed computer retail sales and then changed her career to become an Administrative Assistant at Colorado State University in the Financial Aid Department. Being a stay at home mom from 1969 to 1983 to Lori and Alan was her greatest joy.
She married Arthur Jesser in 1993, and then enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time at their log home, in which they participated in the construction. Meredith was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fort Collins and the Humble Bees Quilting Circle. She loved the outdoors and daily walks, hiking and volunteering in various organizations in the community. A neighborhood Bible study was dear to her heart and a small group Bible study at church. She was an avid reader, weaver, and quilter and enjoyed taking art classes. She loved spending time with friends, from her childhood, and from the years she lived in Salinas, CA.
She is survived by: her husband, Arthur Jesser; son, Alan Deweese of Loveland; daughter, Lori Miltner; Grandson, John William of Temecula, CA; brothers, James Batt and wife Claudine of Arvada, Jerry Batt and wife Peggy of Hotchkiss; stepdaughters, Cathy Lyons of Fort Collins, Kathy Dees and Dana Peterson of Sylacauga, AL; stepson, Steve Jesser of San Diego; five step-grandchildren; 6 step-great grandchildren; beloved nieces and nephews and their families. All were loved.
