In memory: Rodney Lee England

Rodney Lee England, age 59, of Fort Morgan, passed away Aug. 22, in his home in the care of his wife, Amanda England, as his battle with cancer finally came to an end.

Rodney England was born on June 14, 1962, in Fort Morgan,. He graduated from Fort Morgan High school in 1980 and lived in Boulder, Wellington and Fort Collins.

Rodney was married to his wife, Amanda England, on December 6, 1990, and had two children Rodney and Sami.

Rod retired from Colorado State University, Housing Services Center, in 2019 and received many awards throughout the years for his service, including the Invisible Employee Award, Employee of the Month Award and a Distinguished Service Award. Rodney had a passion for camping and fishing, two hobbies he often shared with his family and friends.

Rodney England is survived by his wife, Amanda England, of Fort Collins; two children, Samantha England and Rodney England; his father Leonard; siblings Tammy and Leonard; and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother, Bernice Kembel and his sister-in-law, Jolene Martinez.

The memorial service will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26. Following the memorial, family and friends are invited to join the family at Grace Fellowship for a small reception.
