In memory: Henri Berry Jr.

With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of a beloved son, brother, and friend, Henri W. Berry, affectionately known to many as Junior or Junebug. Born on July 7, 1999, in Littleton, CO, Henri’s 24 years on this earth were marked by his loving, smart, supportive, and compassionate spirit. As an aspiring chemist, he was one semester away from graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University, and was a dedicated member of the the Finish What You Started Program. Henri was the first of his siblings to attend a university, a testament to his intelligence and determination.

Henri was a Pharmacy Technician by profession, serving in the medical field for five years. He was a supportive colleague who was always ready to lend a helping hand. His compassionate nature made him a favorite among nurses and peers alike. In his free time, Henri was an avid fisherman, gamer, and hunter. He found joy in the tranquility of nature and the thrill of the virtual world. He was known for his smart strategies in gaming and his patient approach to fishing and hunting.

Beyond his academic accomplishments and hobbies, what mattered most to Henri was his family. He was the brightest star in our family, the one who wore his heart on his sleeve. He is survived by his mother, Nancy Simmons; his Poppa, Daryl Simmons; his father, Henri Berry Sr; brother, John Manley; and sisters Sharon Manley, Samantha Dunlap, Crystal Dunlap, Jessica Dunlap, Trinda Dunlap, and Nikki Berry. His family will remember him as the loving and supportive brother and son who always made time for them.

As Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” Henri embodied this sentiment, continually striving for success in his personal and professional life, even in the face of adversity. His legacy continues to inspire his loved ones and all who knew him.
