Steve Wright is a plumber for CSU and has worked at the university for about a year. He previously worked at the School of Mines and as a welder in Phoenix, AZ. Steve’s wife wanted to return to Colorado, so started applying and was thrilled to get hired on at CSU.
Judy Roberts described Steve as “very pleasant, modest, and has such a wonderful customer service attitude.”
Steve thinks his fellow employees know everything about him, given the amount of time they spend together. He praised his supervisor and looks forward to the future and being involved in the steam operations and all the new buildings and stadium infrastructure on campus. Steve was a bit embarrassed about being nominated. He felt like he was being praised for just doing his job. He does not realize the impact he has had.
In his spare time, Steve enjoys welding and music. He plays the drums. He is looking for a band to join because he likes playing out and entertaining.
Everyday Hero is a special program sponsored by the Classified Personnel Council to recognize the day-to-day achievements of all CSU employees (state classified, administrative professionals, and faculty). To nominate someone, visit the CPC website.
