Everyday Hero: Doug Satterfield

Doug Satterfield is an electronics specialist IV in Academic Computing and Network Services. He has worked CSU for 24 years. He has been in his current position for 8 years and also serves on the Classroom Review Board.

Prior to coming to CSU, Doug worked for a computer company. He was sent to CSU on a service call and saw the audio/video department and was very intrigued. A position opened up soon after and he applied. What his fellow employees don’t know is that when he started working here he was recovering from a serious car accident. This job could not have come at a better time for him. He began his career with a great sense of gratitude.

Doug said he is surprised and honored about being nominated., and that it feels good to be recognized at this point in his career.

In his spare time, Doug enjoys music and playing the guitar. He was previously in a blues band. Doug also enjoys hiking, camping and reading.
