Employee Appreciation Board recognizes Campus Recreation

Campus Recreation staff

Campus Recreation staff were honored on Jan. 4 by the Employee Appreciation Board,
in recognition of their efforts in the areas of diversity and inclusion and
student staff development.

Starting the New Year off on the right foot! On Jan. 4, the Employee Appreciation Board recognized the Campus Recreation departments for their contributions to the campus community and student experience.

Campus Recreation at CSU was the most decorated program in the country in 2018, winning eight awards for both individuals and team efforts at their governing association’s annual conference. Way to represent! Some areas of distinction include dedicating time, resources, and energy to expanding the knowledge and services of the department and staff in relation to equity, diversity, and inclusion, resulting in the Vamos Outdoors trip series.

But Campus Recreation doesn’t stop there. The staff has been intentional in creating student staff development and training approaches and hosts more than 15 sessions per semester allowing students to choose their track and receive a certificate once they finish.

Thank you, CSU Campus Recreation, for your passion and commitment to creating a better campus for all!
