CSU president featured at Colorado higher educational forum

Colorado Business Roundtable logoCSU President Tony Frank will be joined by leaders from three other Colorado universities at the State of Higher Education Forum, set for April 4 at the History Colorado Center in Denver.

Frank, University of Colorado Chancellor Phil Distefano, Metro State President Janine Davidson and University of Denver Chancellor Rebecca Chopp will discuss their institutions’ successful business partnerships, changes that need to happen in order to be more nimble and agile, how higher education is meeting the needs of industry, and the value proposition for students. Colorado Business Roundtable is sponsoring the event.

The luncheon is open to the public, but reservations are required. Tickets are $75.

National leader in higher ed

Frank, CSU’s 14th president, was appointed in 2008 and has established himself as a state and national leader in higher education, steering CSU through unprecedented growth and fundraising initiatives. Frank also serves as Chancellor of the CSU System which includes Colorado State University, CSU-Pueblo and CSU-Global Campus.

He serves on the boards of the University Research Alliance, National Renewable Energy Laboratory External Advisory Council, the NCAA Division I Board of Directors, the National Western Stock Show Association Board of Directors, the Boettcher Foundation Board of Directors, the Denver Metro Chamber Board of Directors, and previously the Association of Public & Land Grant Universities Commission on International Initiatives.

The forum will be moderated by Debbie Hughes, vice president of Higher Education and Workforce from the Business Higher Education Forum.
