Here’s how to get a passport at CSU

Ready, set, passport!

It’s no secret that the Ram community is a global one. From education abroad experiences to international research to global partnerships, Colorado State University reaches the far corners of the world.

The Passport Acceptance Facility, located in the Office of International Programs, seeks to make access to those international experiences easier. You can apply for a U.S. passport right on CSU’s campus. Serving both the CSU community and the general public, our team can answer questions, process documents and even take your passport photo for you.

  • By appointment on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to noon and 1:30-3:30 p.m.
  • For drop-in on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon and 1:30-3:30 p.m.

The Passport Office can be found on the first floor of Laurel Hall, on the northeast corner of the Oval, at 700 Oval Dr., Fort Collins, Colorado, 80523.

What to bring:

Don’t come empty handed. The U.S. Department of State has some particular requirements that must accompany a passport application. A brief list is provided here, check travel.state.gov for more information:

  • U.S. Passport Application (DS-11 form for first-time applicants). 
  • Evidence of U.S. citizenship.
  • Photo identification.
  • Personal check, cashier’s check or money order paid to the order of the U.S. Department of State.
  • Check or credit card (except American Express) for acceptance fee.
  • 2″ by 2″ square photo taken in the last six months.
