CSU Day at the Stock Show offers something for everyone

Stock Show CSU Day

Bust out your boots and your hat – anything that brings out your inner Western spirit – and get to CSU Day at the National Western Stock Show.

CSU Day 2018 is set for Jan. 13 at the Denver Coliseum, 4655 Humboldt St, and is part of the two-week National Western Stock Show celebration from Jan. 4-20 in Denver.

Stock Show mutton bustin
Mutton Bustin’ is a wildly popular event on CSU Day.

CSU alumni and friends can get discounts of up to $4 per ticket for the event-filled day, which includes future Rams competing in Mutton Bustin’ and CSU leadership riding the stage coach during the 11 a.m. pro rodeo. Tickets include all-day grounds admission, trade show entrance featuring more than 900 vendors and the 11 a.m. rodeo.

There will be lots of CSU giveaways and an appearance by CAM the Ram.

Ag Adventure

Be sure to visit Ag Adventure, an interactive exhibit created in conjunction with several Colorado commodity groups that teaches children about where their food comes from. The exhibit includes information from the Colorado Department of Agriculture, Colorado Farm Bureau and commodity groups such as beef, dairy, eggs, potatoes, corn, wheat and honey producers.

Guided tours are offered by 4-H agents from Adams, Jefferson, Broomfield, Denver, Arapahoe, Douglas and Boulder counties to about 20,000 school-aged children from the Denver metro area during the weekdays and other busy times, but self-guided tours are also available during off-hours. More than 70,000 people visit Ag Adventure – open throughout the Stock Show – each year.

CSU on display throughout Stock Show

Regardless of when you attend the Stock Show, plan to stop by the CSU exhibit booths on the second and third floors of the Hall of Education for information on academic programs and athletics, CSU giveaways and more.
