Ayesha Rascoe, who currently serves as the host of NPR’s Weekend Edition Sunday, will speak on the Colorado State University campus at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5.

The visit, which is in alignment with the thematic year of democracy and part of the Global Distinguished Lecture Series, is part of a collaboration between CSU’s Office of International Programs and KUNC.

As a seasoned journalist and prominent voice in American media, the conversation with Rascoe will explore the global rise of autocratic leaders, erosion of press freedom and civil liberties, and the decline of reasoned debate. This discussion is poised to pose questions about the future of democracy amid growing fear, outrage and misinformation worldwide.

The conversation will take place in the Lory Student Center Theater and will also be livestreamed at col.st/fsEoY. It is free and open to the public with no tickets required, but seating is limited and will be first come, first serve. The doors open at 3:30 p.m.
