Aspen Grille in the LSC is now open

The Aspen Grille, the a student-run restaurant located in the University Club on the upper level of the newly renovated and expanded Lory Student Center, has reopened for business.

The hospitality management students who operate the Grille have completed their training and are ready to serve. Aspen Grille is open to the public for lunch Tuesday through Friday during the academic year between 11 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.

The Aspen Grille menu offers meats provided by Colorado’s Best Beef, breads crafted by the Aspen Baking Company, desserts from Fort Collins-based I d’Eclair! pastry shop, and “socially conscious” coffee roasted by Cafe Richesse, a Colorado State University alumnus-owned company.

At Aspen Grille, all positions are staffed by hospitality management students who rotate each week through each of the employee service and kitchen positions, as well as the position of manager. This allows the class to experience each role in a functioning restaurant, the challenge and opportunities that may arise in each role, and the benefits that each position provides to overall operations.

Reservations are recommended and can be booked by phone at 970-491-7006 Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aspen Grille also has an online reservation system, but same-day reservations are not available online.
