Doreen E. Jordan, 77, joined her Lord and Savior on Nov. 1. While here with her family, she enjoyed many roles: mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister. Of all her roles she treasured the one of wife the best.

We would like to share with you, the reader, a glimpse of her life’s story. Doreen was born on Sept. 16, 1941, to Everett and Norva Parish. She attended high school in Ft. Collins, and later worked at Colorado State University as a secretary in the Agronomy Department. It was here that she met her one true love, Dawson Jordan, and spent the next 52 years building a family home and legacy which included five step children; Claudia, Kerry, Bervie, Melande, Leila; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and countless nieces and nephews.

Doreen’s patience, gentleness, faith and devotion to her family is an example to us all of what a Christian life looks like. In her honor, there will be a private memorial by the family at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to Community Church of Gardner.
