The annual tradition of Colorado State University’s Rams at the Rockies Day on July 21 puts a new twist on the limited-edition hat distribution.

CSU fans, staff, students and alumni who buy a special CSU ticket package will receive an adult-sized, unisex Rams-themed Rockies bucket hat with an adjustable chin strap. Bucket hat distribution plans will be emailed to participants a week before the game.

The Colorado Rockies host the San Francisco Giants at 1:10 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, at Coors Field in Denver. VIP and regular CSU ticket packages are on sale. Both packages include a game ticket, the bucket hat and a $2 donation to the CSU Alumni Association.

“An afternoon cheering for the Rockies is always a good time, especially when there are hundreds of Rams fans in their CSU-Rockies hats and Rams are throwing the first pitch and singing the national anthem.” said Mike Hooker, CSU’s director of community affairs and engagement.

Regular ticket locations and pricing varies from $30 for upper reserved infield seats to $83 for upper infield seats. VIP ticket locations and pricing range from $48 for upper reserved infield seats to $101 for upper infield box seats.

The VIP package includes a pregame lunch with CSU President Amy Parsons and other luminaries. CSU fans are encouraged to wear Rams gear and arrive early.

“Rams at the Rockies is a great CSU summertime tradition that also celebrates our longstanding partnership with the Rockies at Coors Field, and in the classroom with CSU’s Colorado Rockies Sport Management Institute,” Hooker said.
