More than 700 of CSU’s most ardent supporters gathered Feb. 11 at the Lory Student Center to celebrate at the annual 1870 Dinner.

The annual event celebrates CSU’s birthday in 1870 and is open to donors who contribute $1,870 or more during the previous year.

During the dinner — themed “Forge the Path” — CSU President Tony Frank announced Brett Anderson[1], CSU’s vice-president for University Advancement, is stepping aside to take a new position as special assistant to the president. Anderson has been a giant of fundraising, with CSU bringing in more than $1 billion under his leadership.

It was also announced that Kim Tobin[2], who has been at CSU for more than a decade, will step into Anderson’s role July 1.
