Volunteers needed for CSU’s mobile food pantry

SLiCE Mobile Food Bank

The Division of Student Affairs is seeking students to volunteer for CSU’s mobile food pantry.

Volunteers help distribute food to CSU community members in need. All mobile food pantries are set up on University Avenue in front of the Hartshorn Building.

Last year’s food pantry was a huge success, serving between 450 and 650 people. Volunteers are welcome to help distribute food and pick up food for themselves.

These are the volunteer dates available:

• March 1: 4 to 6 p.m.

• April 5: 4 to 6 p.m.

• May 3: 4 to 6 p.m.

“Our goal for this semester is to continue to provide a valuable service for CSU community members and to improve our offering based on feedback from those who access the mobile pantry,” said Jen Johnson, assistant director of student affairs.

A 15-minute volunteer training is provided at 3:15 p.m. prior to each event.

To sign up to volunteer for one or more of the distributions, email Johnson at Jennifer.jo.johnson@colostate.edu with the date(s) you are interested in volunteering.
