Tune in to TEDMED – for free!

TEDMED brings the world together to focus on what’s new and important in health and medicine. A partnership with TEDMED through Colorado State University’s Morgan Library allows CSU faculty, staff and students to access the talks to be presented in San Francisco and Washington, D.C., online live in real time, Sept. 10-12, and on-demand Sept. 10-16 – at no charge.

Any device with Internet access can tune in to TEDMED. You can experience TEDMED from the comfort of your own desk or book a large conference room and watch the program with colleagues.

What exactly is TEDMED 2014?

TEDMED is the independently owned and operated health and medicine edition of the world-renowned TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) conference, devoted to “ideas worth spreading.” TEDMED convenes and curates extraordinary people and ideas from all disciplines inside and outside of medicine for unexpected connections that accelerate innovation.

This year’s theme is “Unlocking Imagination in Service of Health and Medicine.”

Who should tune in?

TEDMED discusses specialties within health and medicine as well as associated technical and scientific disciplines, but targets a multidisciplinary community, from architects to zoologists. Anyone at CSU with an interest in health and wellness will find something fascinating; some of the themes for the daily presentations include “I Was Just Thinking Too Small,” “Turn it Upside Down,” “We Just Don’t Know,” and “Don’t You Dare Talk About This.”

Merinda McLure, CSU’s Health and Human Sciences Librarian, is the TEDMED Live Ambassador for Colorado State University and arranged for the free access.
