The Community Open House is Saturday; come prepared

Community Open House 2017Come prepared Saturday, Aug. 4, when CSU hosts its annual Community Open House at Canvas Stadium.

Come prepared to have fun: There will be bouncy inflatables for the kids, face painters, free live music for all and free frozen treats for all. CAM the Ram and the CSU cheerleaders will be there, too. Everyone is invited.

Fun, food, free stuff

Come prepared to learn: CSU’s colleges and units will be on hand to answer questions about campus, degree programs, class sizes – you name it. And there will be lots of free stuff.

Come prepared to be served: The New Belgium Porch will be open and serving Old Aggie Superior Ale and other favorites. Food trucks will be on hand, and stadium concessions stands will be open and serving a variety of tasty fare.

Clear bag policy enforced

Come prepared: If you plan to enter the stadium, the clear-bag policy will be enforced and, for the first time, metal detectors will be in use at all stadium entrances.

Community Open House 2018The fun begins at 11 a.m. and lasts until 2 p.m. Parking is free and campus lots will be open. Bike racks will be available for those wishing to ride, and the Fort Collins Max bus system will operate on its normal Saturday schedule.

If you love live music, two area favorites – Mama Lenny and the Remedy and Porlolo – will be sharing their unique and upbeat sounds.

If you love CSU football, the Rams will offer a free sneak preview of the upcoming season starting at noon. Coach Mike Bobo’s Rams will warm up for an hour, then scrimmage for an hour.
