01 Mar, 2017

By Milena Thompson

Mountainfilm on Tour, a Telluride-based film festival, is making a stop at Colorado State University at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12 at the Lory Student Center Theater on campus.

Create a better world

Mountainfilm on Tour features short documentary films that will take audiences from Afghanistan to mountaintops in Alaska and inspire them to create a better world. Mountainfilm On Tour is the on-tour version of the Telluride Mountainfilm festival and features a selection of films screened at the annual festival shared with audiences around the world. A Mountainfilm presenter will introduce the films and engage the audience in a discussion afterward.

Hosted by Net Impact-CSU

Mountainfilm on Tour in Fort Collins is hosted by CSU student group Net Impact which is primarily led by Global Social & Sustainable Enterprise MBA students. Net Impact is a nonprofit organization for students and professionals interested in using business skills in support of various social and environmental causes. The organization includes over 100,000 members and 300 global chapters. Last semester the club organized sustainability tours, volunteer days, a screening of the movie “How to Change the World”, a climate change speaker panel and an enterprise workshop for high school students.

To get involved with Net Impact, contact President Lucas Workman at Netimpact.csu@gmail.com.
