Televised governor’s debate at CSU: Hickenlooper and Beauprez

With less than month to Election Day, the two top candidates vying for the Colorado governor’s seat will square off in a debate at Colorado State University. The debate will take place in the newly renovated theater at CSU’s Lory Student Center and will be televised statewide live on KUSA’s Channel 20.

KUSA/9News and the Fort Collins Coloradoan are co-hosts of the debate between Gov. John Hickenlooper and Republican challenger former U.S. Rep. Bob Beauprez.

The hour-long debate starts at 7 p.m, Thursday, October 9.

Beauprez and Hickenlooper will focus equal time on topics specific to Northern Colorado, to CSU and higher education, and to other issues of statewide importance. The three moderators for the debate — 9NEWS Anchor Kyle Clark, 9NEWS Political Reporter Brandon Rittiman, and Coloradoan reporter Nick Coltrain –  will ask questions pertaining to Northern Colorado that have been  submitted to the Coloradoan and reviewed and prioritized by the League of Woman Voters and local residents.

All tickets for the public to attend the event have been distributed.
